
In Powerball news, a convenience store in the US state of New Jersey sold a $1 million (€938,000), 2nd prize US Powerball lottery ticket that matched all 5 white balls in Sunday’s drawing.
If the ticket had been bought with the Power Play Multiplier option that is only available to US players, it would have been doubled its worth to $2,000,000. (€1.8 million)
The winning numbers for the Sunday, February 5 drawing were: 06, 13, 16, 17 and 52. The Red Power Ball number was 25.
According to the US Lottery officials, there were 46,195 in players in the state of New Jersey alone who scooped up an estimated $249,971 (€234,309) in prizes ranging from $4 to $300 as well.
The Powerball jackpot has rolled over to $255,000,000 (€236,000,000) for next Thursday’s drawing to be held February 9 at 04:00 a.m. CET.
